Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Freight Agent. As a Freight Agent, you will be responsible for managing shipping logistics and coordinating freight operations. Your daily activities include sourcing new clients, negotiating shipping rates, scheduling and dispatching shipments, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods. Building and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and clients will also be a key focus area.
Qualifications
- Experience in logistics, freight management, or supply chain operations
- Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with clients and carriers
- Negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Proficiency with logistics software and general computer applications
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote setting
- Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or relevant education in logistics and transportation is advantageous.
