Margaritaville at Sea is seeking a Web Admin / CMS Lead to manage, optimize, and maintain our websites and ecommerce platforms from both a technical and content operations perspective. You will own the end-to-end digital ecosystem—overseeing CMS administration, site reliability, technical troubleshooting, and content governance—while partnering with product, UX, engineering, and marketing teams to deliver seamless, high-performing digital experiences. The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical web administration and content management expertise, balancing day-to-day operations with a focus on continuous improvement, performance optimization, and innovation.

Margaritaville at Sea is seeking a Web Admin / CMS Lead to manage, optimize, and maintain our websites and ecommerce platforms from both a technical and content operations perspective. You will own the end-to-end digital ecosystem—overseeing CMS administration, site reliability, technical troubleshooting, and content governance—while partnering with product, UX, engineering, and marketing teams to deliver seamless, high-performing digital experiences. The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical web administration and content management expertise, balancing day-to-day operations with a focus on continuous improvement, performance optimization, and innovation.
Essential Functions
- Website & CMS Administration: Manage and administer website content across CMS platforms (WordPress, Sitecore, Tridion, AEM, Shopify, or similar), including templates, components, modules, permissions, workflows, and publishing. Maintain CMS configurations, troubleshoot backend issues, and support platform upgrades, patches, and plugin/module updates in collaboration with IT or development teams. Oversee domain, DNS, redirects, URL management, taxonomies, and metadata structures to ensure a stable and organized digital environment.
- Technical Web Operations: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to site performance, caching/CDN behavior, hosting environments, security certificates, and third-party integrations or APIs. Monitor and optimize site uptime, page speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile responsiveness, and overall technical SEO. Manage and maintain integrations with marketing tools such as tag managers, analytics platforms, CRM systems, ecommerce solutions, personalization engines, and A/B testing tools.
- Content Management & Quality Assurance: Oversee content publishing operations by managing structured workflows, approvals, versioning, and governance to ensure accurate and timely content deployment. Conduct regular content and technical audits to maintain accuracy, accessibility (WCAG compliance), SEO alignment, and adherence to brand and UX guidelines. Collaborate with writers, designers, and product owners to create and optimize content components, templates, landing pages, and merchandising modules.
- Feature Development & Enhancements: Work closely with UX, design, product, and engineering teams to implement new site features, templates, navigation updates, and functionality enhancements. Support QA and UAT for new releases, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal disruption to the site experience. Contribute to site architecture decisions, content model improvements, and component-level optimization for scalability and efficiency.
- Analytics, Reporting & Optimization: Track website analytics, performance metrics, uptime, errors, and user behavior using tools such as Google Analytics, GA4, Looker Studio, Search Console, Tag Manager, and monitoring platforms. Provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to improve discoverability, performance, engagement, and conversion. Maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks to give stakeholders clear visibility into site performance and content effectiveness.
- Governance, Security & Reliability: Support web security best practices, including SSL management, permissions/roles administration, vulnerability patching (in partnership with IT), and monitoring for broken links, error logs, and suspicious activity. Document processes, standards, and playbooks for publishing, accessibility, quality checks, and technical operations. Ensure compliance with privacy and data regulations impacting the website (GDPR, CCPA, cookie consent, etc.).
