Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Catering Manager to oversee catering order fulfillment and drive local business development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on food preparation and community outreach, helping grow catering sales while ensuring every order is accurate, fresh, and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Catering Operations
- Prepare, assemble, and package all pre-placed catering orders scheduled for Tuesday–Friday pickup (11:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
- Coordinate projected catering product needs with the General Manager the day prior to each pickup day.
- Ensure all orders meet quality standards and are ready for timely customer pickup.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency in the catering preparation area.
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and connect with local businesses and community organizations to promote catering services.
- Conduct outreach through phone calls, emails, and in-person visits.
- Build and maintain relationships to generate repeat catering business.
Weekly Performance Goals
A successful week in this role includes:
- 5 new business introductions
- 5 catering sample drops
- 5 follow-up calls with prospective or existing clients
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales and outreach
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in catering, food service, or sales is a plus
