Toddler class teacher for ages 1.5 to 2.5 yrs old

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Toddler Class Teacher to nurture and educate children aged 1.5 to 2.5 years old. The ideal candidate will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes early childhood growth. This role involves guiding young children through their foundational learning experiences, fostering social-emotional development, and supporting their individual needs within a classroom setting.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in toddlers.
• Provide attentive supervision and care to ensure the safety and well-being of each child at all times.
• Facilitate engaging activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and early learning skills.
• Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions between activities.
• Use positive behavior management techniques to foster good conduct and social skills among children.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that complies with health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements and participate in staff meetings for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in Special Education or working with children with disabilities are a plus.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a nurturing and structured environment.
• Experience with behavior management strategies suitable for toddlers.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
• Demonstrated patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
• Background in childcare, nannying, babysitting, or caregiving roles involving infants or toddlers is advantageous.
