Salary – $80,000 commission

Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Field Sales Manager to generate new business while managing and growing existing accounts. This role is primarily field-based and requires daily travel to job sites, contractor offices, and customer locations.

The ideal candidate is proactive, knowledge about lumber and building materials, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and experienced in building strong relationships within the construction and building materials industry.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

• Actively prospect and generate new business through job site visits, cold calling, and networking
• Identify and pursue new opportunities with contractors, builders, and developers
• Develop and execute strategies to expand market share

Field Sales

• Spend the majority of time in the field visiting job sites and customer locations
• Build relationships with decision-makers on active and upcoming projects
• Provide product recommendations and pricing solutions to meet customer needs

Account Management

• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent follow-up and service
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within current accounts

Sales Execution

• Prepare and present quotes, bids, and proposals
• Negotiate pricing and close sales
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets

Collaboration & Operations

• Work closely with inside sales, yard, and operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment
• Track customer activity, sales pipeline, and opportunities
