Radiology Technologist-Weekend Option 6a-6p This is a Full-time Weekend Option position working Friday, Saturday/Sunday 6:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M. The Weekend technologist receives premium pay of base plus 60%. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Performs a variety of imaging procedures including X-Ray and CT on ER patients, inpatients, and outpatients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Responsible for quality patient care and safety
•Documents symptoms to aid the radiologist in obtaining a quality reading of the exam.
•Performs portable radiography in the emergency department, patient’s rooms, and surgical area.
•Performs radiographic examinations on trauma patients and patients in other life-threatening circumstances.
•Follows infection control policies and procedures.
•Responsible for cleanliness and daily maintenance of imaging equipment.
•Practices good communication skills
•Follows department and hospital policy and procedures.
Education, Experience, and Training
Education, Experience, and Training
•High School diploma or GED preferred.
•Graduate from an AMA approved school of radiologic technology.
•ARRT certificate.
•Iowa Permit to Practice
•Knowledge of PACS.
•Maintain 24 hours of continuing education every Two (2) years.
•Must have the ability to work with a variety of computer-related equipment.
• CT experience is a plus but onsite CT training with a Certified CT technologist is available. Those without CT experience are encouraged to apply
