Job SummaryThe Medical Assistant provides both clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment. This role is responsible for assisting healthcare providers with patient care, performing routine clinical tasks, and ensuring smooth office operations. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent patient service.Key ResponsibilitiesWelcome patients and assist with check-in procedures.Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information.Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures.Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician (within scope of practice).Collect and process laboratory specimens; perform basic tests as required.Schedule appointments, verify insurance, and manage patient records in the EHR system.Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, following infection control protocols.Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory standards.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.CPR/BLS certification required.New grads welcome.
