MARE Riding Center is seeking a passionate and adaptable Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in delivering equine-assisted therapy services. This is a unique role in a therapeutic riding setting—ideal for someone who loves the outdoors, enjoys creative interventions, and is excited to work alongside horses.

While this is currently a part-time or volunteer opportunity, there is potential for full-time employment as program needs expand.

Current Schedule Needs

• Summer: June - Monday- Friday, July/Aug - Mon & Fridays
• Fall–Spring: Monday afternoons and all day Tuesdays
• Flexible options available based on your availability

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate clients and develop individualized OT treatment plans
• Deliver therapy sessions incorporating equine movement (with trained horse handler support)
• Track progress and maintain documentation
• Collaborate with families and team members
• Ensure client safety during all sessions
• Participate in staff meetings and training

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (CA)
• Pediatric and/or developmental disability experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working outdoors and willing to learn horse-assisted therapy techniques (training provided)
• CPR certified or willing to become certified
