Parts & Inventory Specialist- AZ Candidates Only (No Recruiters)


Schedule: Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM

Hourly Wage: 22.00/hour – 25.00/hour

THIS IS A 100% ONSITE ROLE

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions.
  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
  • Order and receive parts and rigging orders from outside customers. 
  • Monitor open sales orders for fulfillment and corresponding purchase orders (if applicable).
  • Responsible for freight administration, which includes ascertaining the most economical method for shipping parts and rigging to its destination, depending on size, volume, and needed by date.
  • Establish contract pricing with preferred vendors and utilize vendors with favorable payment terms.
  • Relieve inventory on parts posted to work orders or sales orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and be responsible for reorder points, including minimum and maximum quantities.
  • Perform periodic cycle counts and perform year-end inventory count.
  • Process all paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service, both internal and external. Play an active role in developing the safety culture, making safety a natural part of all work.
  • Identify and report safety concerns.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform assigned duties in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skill Set:

  • Knowledge of industry must be able to use consistent exercise of discretion and judgement.
  • Proper use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling; basic mathematics; legal and proper telephone etiquette and techniques; standard office software applications; standard office equipment.
  • Application of data processing in the maintenance of records and reports.
  • Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access) tools is essential.
  • Knowledge of how to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work intellectually in character to exercise independent decision making.
  • Accurately type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
  • Accurately and timely keep up with “to-dos”.
  • Perform research and report results.
  • Read and apply rules, regulations, and proofread material, and make necessary corrections.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with Management, staff, and the public.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.


Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

  • High School diploma (or GED) plus any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of this position. 
  • Sufficient formal and/or informal training to provide the ability to read and write at a level consistent with the requirements of the position.
  • 3 years of Relevant Work Experience. 
  • Must have a mechanical background.
  • Knowledge or experience in the automotive, truck, material handling equipment, and commercial construction equipment fields is preferred.
  • Ability to manage his/her own workload.
  • Must possess strong communication skills.
  • High level of accountability, discipline, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of and with a team.
  • Must have a positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record. 
  • Willingness to take a drug and alcohol test as well as a background check.


Essential Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee frequently is required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee will frequently be required to stand and walk.  The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job.
