General Description:
Full-time Assistant Teacher position supporting an Ed. Specialist in a special education elementary grade classroom of students with social/emotional, learning, and behavioral issues. For information about the school and population served, please visit www.mardanschool.org.
Specific Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- A Valid 30-Day Substitute Permit issued by the CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing (or meeting all requirements to obtain such) - Up to an $1,100 annual stipend is offered
- Classroom or direct experience supervising students with behavioral issues is DESIRED. (Most of our Assistant Teachers are currently working towards credentials or graduate degrees in related fields.)
- Knowledge and experience with special education, behavior management techniques, and/or working with children with autism spectrum disorders is highly desired.

- Full-time position for approximately 33 hours per week, 9/1 to 7/31 annually. Hours are approx. 8:15 am to 3:15 pm M - F
- Compensation is $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.
