Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly
- Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Upsell menu items such as specialty cocktails, wines, or desserts to enhance the guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and assisting in food handling and preparation when needed
- Support guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, dietary needs, or beverage options like spirits and wine knowledge
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Must possess Alcohol Employee Permit or be able to acquire one
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales opportunities
- Strong communication skills for guest interaction and teamwork within the restaurant staff
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
