Role Description
This is a hybrid role for a Pickleball Director based in Acton, MA. The Pickleball Director will oversee and develop all aspects of the pickleball program, including organizing events, managing leagues, coaching players, and recruiting new participants. The role also entails fostering community engagement, maintaining a positive playing environment, and collaborating with staff to ensure high-quality programs and services. Additional responsibilities may include scheduling, outreach, and utilizing creativity to grow and promote the pickleball program.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in organizing and managing sports programs, particularly pickleball or similar activities
- Coaching experience, with the ability to convey techniques and strategies to players of varying skill levels
- Event management and planning skills, including experience coordinating leagues, community events, and tournaments
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage schedules, oversee program logistics, and maintain high-quality program execution
- Proficiency in administrative tools, such as scheduling software and basic office applications
- Passion for pickleball and a commitment to cultivating a welcoming environment for players at all levels
- Flexibility to work on-site in Acton, MA, with some remote responsibilities
