What You Will Be Doing
- Prepare and cook food properly and quickly, following all required recipes in a timely manner.
- Store food correctly using proper rotation and dating, return all food requisitioned from the storeroom properly and securely.
- Perform and complete duties listed on checklists and prep sheets.
- Maintain sanitary standards before, during, and after service.
- Maintain high-quality levels of food production and presentation.
- Set up, maintain, and break down your station, ensuring advance prep is completed.
- Assist in controlling food usage and waste.
- Friendly, polite, and professional team member with a positive attitude.
- Ability to read and follow Micros (POS) orders.
- Basic knowledge of prep functions.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and basic cooking procedures.
- Proper knife handling skills and techniques.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Ability to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong English language comprehension required.
- Must adhere to the Local 122 Collective Bargaining Agreement regulations, with the option to obtain union membership after 90 days of employment.
