What Will You Be Doing?
As a Steward, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen while supporting food and beverage operations throughout the property. Your responsibilities include:
- Operating and maintaining the dish machine according to manufacturer and health department standards
- Scraping, rinsing, racking, washing, unloading, and properly storing dishes and utensils
- Transporting clean dishes and utensils to the kitchen line and other Food & Beverage areas as needed
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, including stovetops, ovens, fryers, mixers, coolers, and prep areas
- Maintaining cleanliness of dish room, kitchen floors, walls, counters, walk-in coolers, freezers, and mats
- Emptying trash and recycling throughout the kitchen and dish areas
- Restocking supplies such as plates, utensils, soap, and hand towels
- Handling cleaning chemicals safely and following all safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assisting with moving food carts, dish racks, and kitchen equipment
- Supporting associate cafeteria operations, including setup, breakdown, stocking, and inventory of paper goods
- Preparing hot and cold food items for associate meals according to menus and recipes
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation
- Following proper sanitation, hygiene, and personal appearance standards
- Performing additional duties as assigned to support kitchen operations
We’re looking for dependable, team-focused individuals who take pride in their work. Ideal candidates have:
- The ability to work in fast-paced, high-noise kitchen environments
- Comfort working in hot, cold, humid, and wet conditions
- The ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push or pull heavier loads as needed
- Physical flexibility, including bending, reaching, and lifting overhead
- Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and sanitation
- The ability to stay calm and efficient during busy service periods
- A friendly, respectful attitude when working with fellow team members
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food handling (training provided)
- No prior experience required; hospitality or kitchen experience is a plus
