Delivery Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions.
• Load and unload products using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and punctuality.
• Deliver packages accurately to customers’ locations while providing friendly, professional service.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory, organizing shipments, and maintaining stock integrity.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report any maintenance issues promptly, and adhere to all safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues swiftly.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of route driving and load management.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely during loading/unloading processes.
• Warehouse experience including familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks, and moving inventory efficiently.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and vehicle maintenance requirements.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
