Job Summary
Seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to help with care of an elderly woman who resides in the Memory Care unit of Carillon. This is a private position, employed by the family to meet the needs that the staff cannot, including bathing and hygiene, companionship and taking meals off the unit, assisting with ambulation and activities, and being a liaison with the family.
Current openings include Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, promoting client's mental well-being.
- Support client with mobility needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, assisted living, or nursing homes is preferred.
- Assistance with transfers and walking is required.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with client and family and staff.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- This is a private caregiving position within Carillon Memory Care. The employer is family member, not Carillon itself, but Carillon does insist that anyone working on their grounds undergo background check and fill out other paperwork for them.
