Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Pizza /Food Deliveries to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. A strong understanding of route driving and warehouse operations is essential.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, including box trucks, while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload products efficiently, ensuring that all items are secured for transport.
- Navigate assigned routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transport.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices.
- Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack safely.
- Experience with heavy lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds or more.
- Proficiency in driving both manual transmission vehicles and automatic vehicles.
- Previous warehouse experience is a plus, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
