National, family-owned/operated general contractor searching for mature, reliable Bid Procurement Coordinator/Pre-Construction Manager.
- Computer experience and wherewithal is required.
- Duties include oversight of pre-construction activities for national general contractor.
- Assist the Pre-Construction Coordinator in overseeing all aspects of pre-construction to set the stage for successful project execution.
- Assign the expediting/pre-con team projects to bid based on region, date and scope.
- Conduct weekly review of the 7-day lookahead for projects biddings with the pre-con/expediting Team.
- Work with and assist pre-con assistants to ensure robust subcontractor coverage during the bidding process using all available procurement tools are effectively utilized, and internal processes are followed.
- Review awarded projects for subcontractor coverage, scope gaps, and project-specific requirements to direct the expediting team in the second round of subcontractor bid procurement for complete scope coverage.
- Schedule and lead turnover meetings to entrust the awarded project to the assigned project manager, including essential documents, bid drawings, and local regulations and licensing requirements.
- Secure permits for awarded projects, including building permits, zoning permits, high-piled racking system permits, and any other permits required for construction. Ensure trade-specific permits are in place when subcontractors do not handle them.
- Handle payments and reconciliation of all permits and licensing fees, provide documentation for job-related costs to be reimbursed to Marco Contractors, Inc.
- Provide necessary and pertinent information to the Project Management team to ensure a successful project start, including copies of permits, licensing, stamped/approved drawings, and information on local rules and regulations.
- Successful candidates will be be organized, self-sufficient, and able to handle deadlines.
- Construction experience is a plus, but not required.
