Cloud Engineer - Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer specializing in Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) who will support enterprise-wide initiatives. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining IDP solutions across a multi-agency environment, translating enterprise architecture into operational reality.
Working closely with the Cloud Architect, the IDP Engineer will serve as the primary technical resource for building and optimizing document processing workflows, training agency-level administrators, and ensuring consistent, high-quality IDP implementations across all organizations within the enterprise.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlatform Implementation & Configuration- Implement, configure, and maintain the IDP platform across a multi-agency environment.
- Build and optimize intelligent document processing workflows, including document classification, data extraction, validation, and integration with downstream systems.
- Configure and manage sub-tenant environments for child organizations, ensuring proper segregation, permissions, and resource allocation.
- Develop and maintain document classification projects, extraction rules, and training datasets to achieve high accuracy across diverse document types.
- Serve as the primary technical trainer and mentor for administrators across multiple organizations.
- Develop and deliver training programs, documentation, and knowledge base materials to support day-to-day IDP operations.
- Provide hands-on guidance during initial project setup, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
- Establish and support a community of practice to promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure consistency across all IDP implementations by enforcing established standards, templates, and design patterns.
- Monitor processing accuracy, throughput, and system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Conduct regular reviews of implementations to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop testing strategies and validation procedures for new document types, workflow changes, and platform upgrades.
- Coordinate platform upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities with architecture and IT operations teams.
- Design and implement integrations between the IDP platform and business applications, databases, and repositories.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including processing errors, workflow failures, and integration challenges.
- Contribute to capacity planning, performance tuning, and overall system optimization.
- Hands-on experience with workflow design, document classification, and data extraction configuration, preferably with Tungsten Automation TotalAgility or similar platforms.
- Experience managing multi-tenant or multi-organization environments within an IDP or content platform.
- Strong scripting and development skills (e.g., C#, .NET, JavaScript, SQL) for workflow customization and integrations.
- Experience with RPA, communication management tools, or related automation technologies.
- Familiarity with environments where multiple departments or organizations operate independently within a shared platform.
- Experience in government, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of HIPAA or similar compliance requirements related to document processing and content management.
- Experience with AI/ML-based document classification and extraction model development and optimization.
- 7 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in an IDP engineering role.
- Strong interpersonal and training skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible guidance.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
