Marchese Construction is seeking a self-motivated, hands-on Project Manager to join our growing team in Savannah, Georgia!

This position is ideal for an experienced construction professional who takes ownership, solves problems, communicates effectively, and knows how to get things done. Our Project Managers are actively involved in their projects from preconstruction through completion and play a key role in maintaining client relationships, controlling costs, coordinating trades, and keeping projects moving forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage projects from start to finish while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and performance objectives
• Interpret and utilize architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and other construction documents to effectively manage project execution
• Negotiate and manage changes with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Prepare, review, and manage contracts, scopes of work, and project documentation
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships while clearly communicating project progress, schedules, costs, and changes
• Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating staff, subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and other project participants
• Procure and manage materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for project completion
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable codes, plans, specifications, and project requirements
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant job site
• Proactively identify potential problems and develop practical solutions before they impact the project
• Monitor project costs, commitments, and overall financial performance
• Maintain accurate project documentation and daily job site records, including photographs when applicable
• Provide regular updates to company management regarding project progress, schedule, costs, performance, and potential concerns
• Maintain accountability for the overall success and profitability of assigned projects
  

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of commercial construction experience
• Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and project coordination
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple moving parts on active construction projects
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management abilities
• Ability to prioritize competing demands while maintaining attention to detail
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently while remaining an effective team player
• Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to client service and quality workmanship

Requirements:

REQUIRED:

• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation

PREFERRED:

• Willing and able to work at heights when required
• Proficiency with construction management software and technology
• Comfortable working in and around active construction sites
• Ability to travel to project sites throughout the Savannah area and surrounding communities as needed
