Position Summary
As an SEO Copywriter & Editor at Marcel Digital, you will own the production of high-quality, SEO-optimized content at scale. This role is focused on leveraging AI tools to efficiently create, refine, and optimize blog content, landing pages, and core website copy that supports organic growth and lead generation for a variety of mid-sized B2B clients.
You will be responsible for turning strategy into execution, producing content that aligns with search intent, follows SEO and AEO best practices, and is ready to perform in modern search environments. This is a production-focused role with clear ownership over output, quality, and consistency.
You’ll produce content across a range of B2B industries, requiring the ability to quickly learn new subject matter, adapt tone and messaging, and shift between verticals without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
Reports to: Director of SEO
Role Description
AI-Driven Content Production
Own the end-to-end creation of SEO-optimized content using AI tools. Transform outlines, keyword and prompt targets, and strategic direction into fully developed articles.
Content Editing & Quality Control
Refine and elevate AI-generated drafts to ensure clarity, accuracy, and performance. You are responsible for final deliverables. Strengthen on-page SEO through strategic internal linking that supports visibility and drives users to high-value conversion pages.
Search & Answer Optimization
Structure content to capture featured snippets, AI Overviews, and answer-based search results. Write in clear, answer-first formats with strong semantic alignment.
Content Refresh & Optimization
Update and improve existing content to restore and enhance organic performance. You’ll identify opportunities to refresh outdated articles, align them with current search intent, incorporate SEO and AEO best practices, and ensure content remains accurate, relevant, and competitive in evolving search results.
Production Efficiency
Manage a high volume of content production while maintaining quality and consistency.
Collaboration with SEO Managers & Director
Work with all members of the SEO department, as well as the SEO Director, to execute content strategies.
Continuous Improvement
Improve workflows, prompts, and processes to increase output and quality over time.
Qualifications & Ideal Fit
- 3 years of experience in SEO copywriting or similar content production.
- Strong experience using AI tools for content creation.
- Comfortable creating content across multiple industries and verticals, with the ability to quickly learn new subject matter and adapt writing style accordingly.
- Able to shift between topics and client needs efficiently while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Ability to follow structured outlines and content briefs while maintaining clarity, consistency, and quality
- Ability to produce high-quality content at scale.
- Solid understanding of on-page SEO and search intent.
- Experience optimizing content for featured snippets and AI-generated results.
- Strong editing skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable in a production-focused, high-output environment.
- B2B experience is a big plus.
