Position Summary:
The Order Processing and Shipping Specialist is responsible for completing and shipping orders placed by Prepaid and Postpaid retail stores, assuring that all shipments arrive to customers at appropriate requested times. The Order Processing and Shipping Specialist must keep up with general maintenance of the warehouse as well as assisting with various miscellaneous (occasionally labor intensive) tasks both in the warehouse and other departments. The Order Processing and Shipping Specialist receives warehouse supply materials, incoming purchase orders and products, verifies quantities of product received, and stock product for order fulfillment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Utilizes inventory tracking software to provide accurate inventory information and ensure proper levels of inventory.
- Inspects deliveries to ensure that correct product and quantity have been received and have not been damaged. Assesses inbound shipments and routes to appropriate recipient.
- Assists customers in picking up orders at warehouse locations; answers concern they may have regarding the products that they have received.
- Maintains warehouse cleanliness by sweeping floors, organizing stock, and making sure that there is minimal trash outside of garbage bins. Eliminates clutter in aisles to assure safety. Follow established safety guidelines to comply with MIOSHA safety standards.
- Ships (by e-mail) return labels to customers or employees as needed on a weekly basis, ensuring that they can return products to our facility.
- Operates handcarts, baler, skid wrapper, and lift-trucks to receive and organize purchase orders and supply shipments.
- Separates shipments and organizes products to implement aging and assure correct products are picked and shipped.
- Supports inventory control process by assisting with cycle counts and accounting for misplaced products or materials.
- Receives, identifies, labels, and organizes and stock incoming materials according to established procedures.
- Packages, processes and ships cellular phones, cable products, marketing materials, and other corporate shipping needs as requested by other departments to Prepaid and Postpaid retail locations.
- Replenish shipping and other warehouse materials
Non-Essential Responsibilities:
- Makes runs/deliveries to deliver products to local retail locations, carriers.
- Maintain warehouse by assisting with repair projects and facilities maintenance projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received:
Specific Direction: Follows established work procedures. Receives periodic checks for performance. Refers unique questions/conditions to immediate supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to obtain a forklift license.
- Experience operating a forklift preferred.

- Ability to learn new software and possess basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in a clear, concise, understandable, and professional manner.
