Job Description:
The Veterans Disability Intake Specialist serves as the initial point of contact for prospective clients seeking legal assistance with VA Disability claims and appeal. This role is responsible for conducting intake interviews, gathering relevant information and documentation, evaluating potential cases based on firm criteria, and ensuring clients receive compassionate, professional service throughout the intake process. The ideal candidate is organized, detail- oriented, and passionate about serving veterans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess a strong understanding of the Veterans Department's services, eligibility requirements, and the types of VA disability claims the firm represents.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to online inquiries from potential clients.
- Making outbound calls to new leads and follow up calls.
- Use of case management and completing tasks, etc. in our integrated intake system.
- Conduct detailed intake interviews to collect military service and claims history.
- Assess potential cases according to the firm’s intake guidelines.
- Request VA Decisions and any other supporting documentation from the veteran.
- Send and receive documents electronically
- Meet intake goals while providing exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of customer service, intake, call center, legal, or veterans-related experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and compassionately.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to build rapport with veterans and their families while handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity and quality goals.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive client experience.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive client information.
- Prior knowledge of VA disability benefits, military service, or veterans' issues is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Work Schedule/Hours:
- This is a full-time position, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- This position can be remote from anywhere in the US.
- For remote work, must have reliable access to your own internet connection and internet router.

Salary : $40,000 - $45,000
