About the Opportunity
A busy solo practitioner focused on residential and commercial real estate transactions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to provide administrative and transactional support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing documents, coordinating closings, and serving as a key point of contact throughout the transaction process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, organize, and maintain real estate transaction files from contract through closing.
- Draft and assemble closing packages, including deeds, transfer documents, settlement statements, and other closing materials.
- Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and opposing counsel to ensure timely closings.
- Manage document collection, execution, and filing while maintaining accurate electronic and physical files.
- Review contracts, title reports, surveys, and other transaction-related documents for completeness.
- Schedule closings and assist with post-closing tasks, including recording documents and tracking outstanding items.
- Maintain calendars, deadlines, and transaction timelines to ensure matters progress efficiently.
- Respond to client inquiries and provide exceptional service throughout the transaction process.
- Assist with general administrative support as needed for the practice.
Qualifications
- 2 years of paralegal experience, preferably in New York real estate law.
- Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial real estate transactions.
- Experience preparing closing documents and coordinating real estate closings.
- Excellent document management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PDF/document management software.
- Experience with title companies, recording procedures, and closing platforms is a plus.

Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
