Summary Of Position
We are seeking a passionate culinarian for Brophy's Tavern at Hotel Carmel. This extremely popular restaurant bar is a favorite for locals and visitors alike Our prep-cook/dishwasher is responsible for the preparation, set-up, and maintenance of all food items and maintaining the dish area, in a team environment where our culture drives our people, product and service.

Essential Functions

• Wash, dry and sanitize dishes used in the restaurant
• Prepare all food items according to specific recipes or as specified on guest checks
• Visually inspect, select, and use only food items of the highest standard in the preparation of menu items
• Keep all refrigeration and storage areas clean and organized, complying with health department regulations
• Keep all working areas clean and organized, complying with health department standards
• Other supportive functions as determined by the Executive Chef, Director of Operations and other Culinary Supervisors.

Qualifications
Experience:
Entry level position, previous work experience preferred

Certificates or Licenses:
Food Service Worker card

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Knowledge of the fundamentals of kitchen prep work
• Knowledge of the acceptable standards of sanitation
• Knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment, i.e. stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, etc.
• Ability to understand and comply with all Health Department standards
• Ability to memorize and perform Marc & Rose Service Essentials
