Role Description This is a full-time, Attorney position, focused on New York no-fault arbitration and litigation. The attorney will handle a caseload of no-fault matters from inception through resolution, including evaluating claims, drafting pleadings, motions, and arbitration submissions, and conducting legal research to support case strategy. Daily responsibilities include appearing at arbitrations, court conferences, and hearings, engaging in settlement negotiations, and maintaining clear, timely communication with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel. The role also involves reviewing medical records and billing, assessing coverage issues, and advising clients on legal rights, risks, and potential outcomes. The attorney will collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient case management and adherence to firm policies, deadlines, and procedural requirements.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from accredited law school
- Active Admission to New York Bar in good standing.
- Experience in New York No Fault regulations, AAA procedures, and New York Civil practice.
- Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law and related issues that may intersect with workplace injury and no-fault claims.
- Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients, medical providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficient in legal Research, including case law, statutes, regulations, and administrative guidance relevant to no-fault and injury matters.
- Effective Negotiation skills for arbitrations, mediations, settlement discussions, and pre-trial conferences.
- Excellent written advocacy and oral communication skills, with strong attention to detail in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize deadlines, and work independently in an on-site environment.
- Professionalism, sound judgment, and a commitment to client-centered advocacy and ethical practice.
