The Digital Marketing Director develops and leads digital and ecommerce marketing strategies across Marc Fisher’s portfolio of footwear brands. Reporting to the VP of Marketing Strategy, this role partners with brand, ecommerce, and marketing teams to translate business goals into clear strategy, creative direction, and high-impact campaign execution. The Director brings new insights and opportunities, streamlines cross-functional collaboration, and produces effective briefs, messaging frameworks, and brand ideas. This position also leads annual strategic planning, identifies and structures marketing initiatives for execution, and drives analysis and synthesis of insights across marketing teams.


This role is based out of our NYC office on our current hybrid schedule – 3 days in office and 2 days remote per week.


Responsibilities include:

  • Lead brand messaging development and execution across owned and licensed brands, ensuring integrity, business alignment, and cohesive storytelling for Hunter, Nine West, Marc Fisher LTD, Rockport, Easy Spirit, and earth®.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Brand Managers to deliver brand campaigns, digital assets, and seasonal content with consistency, accuracy, and strategic alignment.
  • Partner with PR, social, creative, and ecommerce to build integrated, omnichannel strategies that strengthen positioning and drive measurable results.
  • Improve ecommerce performance by applying expertise in digital marketing, onsite experience, conversion strategy, and KPIs to guide placements, content, and campaigns.
  • Own seasonal brand books, product positioning frameworks, and messaging guidelines to ensure clear, consistent direction across consumer touchpoints.
  • Approve email, paid media, and onsite content for D2C brands, ensuring work meets brand standards, strategic objectives, and performance goals.
  • Lead end-to-end briefing and campaign development, aligning stakeholders on audience, messaging, deliverables, and success metrics.
  • Ensure internal and external deliverables are high-quality, accurate, and on time, with strong organizational discipline across brands and timelines.
  • Oversee team workflows, calendars, and key milestones to ensure efficient campaign execution across ecommerce, digital, and cross-functional channels.
  • Establish governance and quality standards for AI-assisted and digitally generated content to ensure output is authentic, accurate, and on brand.
  • Build strong partnerships with sales, merchandising, product development, and finance to align marketing strategy to business priorities and revenue goals.
  • Continuously elevate brand thinking by identifying opportunities to strengthen messaging, storytelling, and marketing effectiveness with internal teams and external partners.
  • Stay current on digital and brand marketing best practices, applying learnings to optimize campaigns across channels.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Deep expertise in the footwear, fashion, and retail landscape, including competitive activity, emerging consumer behaviors, and cultural trends that inform brand strategy.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in brand marketing, digital marketing, or integrated communications; fashion, footwear, or consumer brands preferred.
  • Proven ability to balance creative vision and business strategy, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated success launching integrated, digital-first campaigns across ecommerce, email, social, and paid media.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, with the ability to translate consumer data, search trends, and social insights into messaging and campaign strategy.
  • Exceptional communication skills (writing, editing, and presenting), with experience presenting to senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
  • Proven people leader with strong team-building skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
