Are you interested in opening your home to a person with intellectual or developmental disabilities who is looking for a supportive and welcoming environment?
IMPACT is seeking compassionate individuals and families to become Community Companion Home (CCH) providers. CCH providers are licensed through the State of Connecticut, Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to offer nurturing, family-like homes where people can share responsibilities, build relationships, and grow in independence.
Supported by IMPACT’s CCH department, providers complete the licensing process, which includes extensive training, background checks, a home study, and a fire safety review. Once licensed, MARC and DDS carefully work to find the best match for your household.
As a CCH provider, you will receive:
- 24/7 on-call nursing support
- Oversight and guidance from IMPACT staff
- Assistance with administrative and licensing requirements
- Ongoing support to help your home thrive
- A monthly stipend for each individual living in the home (room & board plus reimbursement for care based on the person’s needs)
