Automotive Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles and diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. The technician will utilize advanced diagnostic tools, schematics, and hand and power tools to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately.
• Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
• Execute mechanical repairs such as engine repairs, transmission work, wheel alignments, and welding tasks.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components.
• Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive problems effectively.
• Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and maintaining professional communication with clients.
• Complete auto estimating tasks accurately for repair jobs as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Service Technician or Mechanic; dealership experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS technology, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair.
• Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools, schematics, and auto estimating software.
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including alignments and general repairs.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair machinery safely and effectively.
• Experience working with GM vehicles is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing complex issues.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Pay: $ $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 60.0 per week
