Role Description Teachers at Marblehead Children's Center support Infant, Toddler, and Preschool classrooms by creating safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and implementing play-based lessons, facilitating age-appropriate activities, observing and documenting children’s progress, and maintaining open communication with families. Teachers collaborate with colleagues to align classroom practices with the center’s curriculum and philosophy, while ensuring that health, safety, and licensing standards are consistently met. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Marblehead, MA, requiring regular classroom presence and participation in staff meetings, professional development, and family events.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education and experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children.
- Ability to design and implement Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development that support developmentally appropriate learning.
- Effective Communication skills for engaging with children, families, and colleagues, including clear documentation and family updates.
- Relevant education, such as coursework or a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; state-specific certifications or licenses are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe, inclusive, and responsive classroom environment, including behavior guidance and social-emotional support.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and collaborate within a team-based setting.
