Job Title: Strategy & Operations Analyst

Location: San Francisco, CA – In-person 4 days per week

Team: Product

Reports To: Head of Product

Company: Marble Tax

About Us

Marble is transforming a $500B industry that’s long overdue for disruption. We’re building an AI-powered tax assistant and preparation platform that uses the latest breakthroughs in LLMs to completely rethink how accounting firms handle tax.

Our product suite targets the pain points of mid-to-large accounting firms, automating complex, high-stakes workflows and helping professionals focus on strategy instead of paperwork. Our leadership team has built multi-million dollar companies in the past and comes to the industry with existing relationships with large accounting firms.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Strategy & Operations Analyst to help bring structure, insight, and clarity to complex questions that inform our product and business strategy.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that combines market research, regulatory and policy analysis, and competitive intelligence. You’ll synthesize information from diverse sources to help the company make smarter, faster, and better-informed decisions.

You’ll thrive in this role if you love diving into ambiguous problems, making sense of complexity, and turning research into actionable insights that guide product and leadership decisions.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead high-impact research initiatives across regulatory, market, and competitive domains to uncover insights that guide product direction, strategy, and decision-making.
  • Evaluate and manage external data partnerships, including identifying valuable data sources, negotiating terms, and ensuring compliance with licensing, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering and internal SMEs to translate research and data insights into actionable strategies, product requirements, and execution plans.
  • Monitor regulatory and operational developments (e.g. e-filing processes, certifications, and deadlines) and ensure the company remains compliant and operationally prepared.
  • Build scalable research and operational frameworks from workflows and playbooks to dashboards that track progress, performance, and impact.
  • Act as a thought partner to product managers and leadership, helping shape priorities, mitigate risks, and turn insights into tangible business outcomes.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in research, consulting, strategy, analytics, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to break down ambiguous problems and identify key insights.
  • Excellent communicator that distills complex research into clear, actionable takeaways.
  • Naturally curious and adaptable, comfortable shifting between regulatory, competitive, and market topics.
  • Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset, able to connect precise findings to broader business context.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving, unstructured environment with high ownership.
  • Collaborative team player who builds alignment across functions while working independently.

Bonus Points

  • Exposure to tax, accounting, or regulatory topics.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, JD, MPP, or similar) or professional credential (CPA, EA) is a huge plus
  • Familiarity with research and data tools.

Why Join Us?

  • Work in a massive, $500B industry that’s being fundamentally redefined by AI
  • Join a small, seed-stage company backed by top Silicon Valley investors and connected to leading accounting firms
  • Build from 0 → 1 alongside a team that values autonomy, pragmatism, and drive
  • Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits

Interested?

We’d love to hear from you.
