Duties
- Operate cash registers and POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions and handle cash, credit, or digital payments with precision.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selections or demos.
- Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales and meet customer needs effectively.
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented to attract customers and support merchandising efforts.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including cash drawer handling and balancing registers at shift end.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking products, conducting stock counts, and supporting inventory audits.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or providing assistance remotely.
Skills
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery store environments is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to engage customers effectively and provide clear product information.
