We are seeking a passionate and energetic Certified Peer Recovery Supporter to join our team! In this vital role, you will serve as a relatable guide and motivator for individuals navigating behavioral health challenges, including addiction concerns. Your lived experience and empathetic approach will empower clients on their journey toward recovery, offering hope, mentorship, and crisis support when needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide peer-led support by sharing personal recovery experiences to inspire hope and motivation
- Assist clients in developing coping strategies through motivational interviewing techniques
- Respond promptly to crisis situations using crisis intervention and management skills
- Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate care plans and document client progress in EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems
- Offer mentorship and behavioral health guidance tailored to each individual’s needs
- Support clients in navigating social services, addiction counseling resources, and mental health programs
- Maintain a safe environment by recognizing signs of crisis or relapse and acting accordingly
Skills
- Strong knowledge of crisis intervention and crisis management techniques
- Experience in behavioral health, and addiction counseling
- Excellent mentoring abilities with a compassionate, nonjudgmental attitude
