Marathon TS is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a Computer-Aided Dispatch effort for our federal client. As a Systems Engineer, you would play a key role in delivering and supporting mission-critical Public Safety solutions. Your work would include the installation, configuration, and testing of Public Safety products and interfaces in both on-premises and cloud-hosted environments, supporting agencies such as Police, Fire, and EMS. You may also travel to customer sites to provide hands-on support, whether maintaining existing Hexagon systems, troubleshooting technical issues, or leading the deployment of new solutions. Every day brings a mix of technical problem-solving, collaboration with teammates, and direct engagement with customers to ensure their systems run seamlessly in 24/7 operational environments.

- The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years' experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting IT systems.
- Comfortable working with multiple software and hardware platforms, including servers, workstations, and network equipment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
- Experience documenting technical issues and solutions in ticketing systems and project deliverables.
- Experience with administering Active Directory
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and relational database structures
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments, including after-hours or on-call support
- Experience working in Public Safety (Fire, EMS, Police) environments is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent applicable experience.
- CompTIA Security CE certification (preferred) or must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
- Must be able to travel as needed to customer sites. (Roughly 30% travel)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, as it relates to conveying technical information internally and externally.
- Ability to investigate problems or malfunctions and recommend solutions or corrective actions.
- Shares knowledge and assists others in the completion of their tasks to support team goals.
- Ability to keep abreast of changing software technology.
- Ability to work directly with customers in solving hardware/software problems.
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team with little supervision and guidance.
Salary : $85,000 - $115,000
