DevSecOps Engineer (Remote)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to support the design, development, deployment, and sustainment of modern software solutions using secure DevSecOps practices. This role partners with application development teams to modernize legacy applications, transitioning monolithic architectures into scalable, containerized microservices while leveraging an enterprise CI/CD pipeline.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in cloud technologies, Agile software development, infrastructure automation, and secure software delivery. This individual will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams while helping maintain and enhance a secure microservices platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with application development teams to design, develop, and modernize software applications using DevSecOps best practices.
- Transition legacy monolithic applications into cloud-native, containerized microservices.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploy, manage, and sustain a microservices platform using commercial and open-source technologies.
- Guide development teams through secure software development and deployment processes.
- Drive automation across the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Support deployments across both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Agile development methodologies.
- Develop automation through scripting and infrastructure-as-code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve application reliability, security, and scalability.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant DevSecOps or Software Engineering experience
- 5 years working in Agile software development environments.
- Experience defining and implementing Scrum Agile methodologies for large-scale organizations.
- Experience leading DevSecOps initiatives and secure software delivery practices.
- Experience implementing Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience designing and managing automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience deploying and supporting applications in both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience serving as the engineering lead for complex technology implementations in product-centric environments.
- Experience developing solutions using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) providers such as:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- OpenStack/Rackspace
- Experience using scripting or programming languages to automate operational tasks.
- Experience with infrastructure configuration and configuration management tools.

Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
