Your Role Will Include
- Delivering a wide range of dietetic care and education, including assessment, planning, referrals, monitoring, and management for individuals, families, and communities with diverse health needs.
- Offering outreach dietetic services, often partnering with General Practices to reach those in need.
- Leading individual and group sessions for various populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and young people.
- Providing education and skill-building initiatives that empower the local health sector and enhance its capabilities.
- Building strong partnerships with Local Health Districts, allied health professionals, GPs, government and non-government agencies, and community groups to develop, coordinate, and implement health promotion programs.
- Improving access to services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, ensuring equitable care.

- Tertiary qualifications in Dietetics and membership with the DAA, along with a readiness to dive into the APD program.
- Genuine interest in chronic disease services
- Experience in delivering services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people
- A strong understanding of the barriers to accessing health services experienced by Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people
- A strong foundation in generalist dietetics, paired with advanced clinical reasoning skills in dietetics.
- Self-motivated and collaborative – able to work independently and as part of a team to smash key performance indicators.
- Super organised and efficient in juggling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proven expertise in delivering high-level clinical services, including thorough client assessments and interventions.
- A deep commitment to providing culturally safe, client-centered care, ensuring every client feels respected and supported.
- Willingness to travel regularly in the surrounding area
