What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitness Equipment Service Technician - Austin, TX position at MARATHON FITNESS?
Marathon Fitness is looking for a field service technician to work with our existing client base throughout the greater Austin area.
The ideal Candidate will have:
A great attitude, strong customer service skills, and experience in diagnostics or field service in related trades such as automotive, HVAC, mechanical systems, material handling, or applicable military experience.
Have basic laptop computing skills (windows, outlook, excel, word, etc).
2 years mechanical experience preferred (military and or electrical a plus)
Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug screens.
Extensive on-the-job and manufacturer training is provided as well as all tools necessary, phone, laptop and a company vehicle during work hours.
The typical day would include checking in at our Round Rock warehouse. Obtaining the parts, service van and anything else necessary for the day then heading out to the scheduled jobs at fitness centers for the day.
Marathon Fitness is Texas' largest supplier of health club related equipment representing brands such as PRECOR, Peloton, Escape Fitness and NuStep which are found in many of the premier clubs, hotels, apartments and universities in Texas. Products include treadmills, elliptical cross-trainers, virtual bikes, and weight training equipment. The fitness industry is changing, and we are one of the companies leading the way. $21-24 per hour DOE (Depending upon experience) plus benefits such as paid holidays, paid vacation, paid PTO and matching 401K.
