Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented "working" Production Shift Leader with expertise in Torch Soldering or Furnace operations to join our jewlery manufacturing team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily department production, ensuring quality standards are met, and lead a team of skilled department staff to achieve operational excellence. Your leadership will drive efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement within our manufacturing processes. First Shift only 7:30am-4:00pm
DUTIES:
- Determine the order of jobs to be processed each day.
- Assign jobs to department employees as needed.
- Provide employees with supplies and/or set-up machinery necessary to process the jobs.
- Train employees on all department processes.
- Oversee the pieces produced for quality and correctness.
- Enter completed jobs into the production computer software system; forward jobs to the next department in the routing.
- Bring production issues to the attention of the Plant Manager.
- Supervise department employees including addressing issues regarding production or behavior. Coordinate with Human Resources as necessary.
- Write and deliver 90 day and/or annual performance reviews with the Plant Manager and Human Resources.
- Process jobs between above responsibilities.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Thorough understanding of department processes and the correct and safe operation of machinery and/or chemicals used in production.
- Complete awareness of the placement of jobs in the department’s production queue.
- Knowledge of each employee’s skill level to effectively assign jobs.
- Clearly communicate with management, Quality Control, other shift leaders and employees.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Provide a positive example to employees of correct behavior and work ethic.
- Work with minimal supervision.

Ability to lift and/or carry:
- Solder up to 25 lbs.; push or pull up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
