INVENTORY/QUALITY CONTROL and PICKING [Jewelry Manufacturing]

POSITION: Inventory/Quality Control/Picking/Clerical

STATUS: Non-exempt, regular, full time

The IC/QC/PICKING position is a “hybrid” position in which the ideal candidate will float between IC/QC and the PICKING departments as need dictates. There is a clerical component when it comes to data entry and record keeping but this IS NOT a clerical position. This position is responsible for receiving and issuing jobs within the plant and inspecting products for quality as well as picking finished products to fulfill orders for the packing department. The ideal candidate will be able to pass a back ground check.

DUTIES:

• Receive product into the department from the Press Department, outside casters and finished goods vendors.
• Pick items to fulfill in-house orders and customer orders departments according to the job routing.
• Check inventory levels through cycle counts.
• Inspect product for quality, check weights, and initiate repair tickets for product that does not pass quality inspection.
• Communicate effectively with all departments
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• Verify items and number of items on job tickets match the orders in the computer.
• Collect necessary boxes and pads for orders
• Pick pre-pick orders.
• Allocate items into the computer.
• Receive finished product into inventory as needed
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

• Ability to work with minimum supervision.

• Reaching 20%*

• Sitting 10%*

*During times of peak business standing, walking, reaching and/or bending may increase up to 95%, sitting may decrease to 5%

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
