We are seeking a highly motivated analyst to work within our Opportunistic Credit team in New York serving as a junior portfolio manager. This analyst will be responsible for monitoring and reporting performance across the portfolio and helping manage risk.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multiple internal teams and third-party vendors to support portfolio workflows, resolve discrepancies, and ensure that information is reported accurately in a timely manner.
- Help lead portfolio analysis projects including fund and investment cash flow modeling, exposure tracking and responding to ad hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the quarterly closing process for the opportunistic team, which includes valuation, portfolio review and recurring reporting to investors.
- Candidates should be process oriented, proficient with technology and have an ability to be able to contribute to longer-term solutions to improve process efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree from top tier university in a relevant field such as finance, economics (with a quantitative focus), or a quantitative discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in the financial industry.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with demonstrated advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with data queries or database management is a strong plus.
