Duties
- Deliver a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and medical massage to meet individual client needs
- Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed treatment records and document client progress accurately
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment in compliance with health regulations and standards
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide personalized care
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education opportunities
Requirements
- Proven experience in massage therapy with proficiency in multiple modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point therapy, and prenatal massage
- Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Ability to perform patient assessment and develop customized treatment plans based on individual needs
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and valid licensing or registration as required by local regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient communication and client satisfaction
- Experience working in spas or occupational health settings is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of pain management techniques and experience working with clients experiencing chronic or acute pain is advantageous
