About the Role:

The Person In Charge in a retail environment holds a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing daily store operations to ensure efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company policies. This role requires managing and supervising staff to maintain high performance and a positive work environment. The individual will be accountable for accurate handling of financial transactions, including cashiering duties and maintaining proper documentation of sales and inventory records. They will also be instrumental in resolving customer issues promptly and effectively, fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business. Ultimately, the Person In Charge ensures that the store meets its operational goals while upholding the brand’s standards and values.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven experience in supervising retail staff or managing store operations.
• Basic proficiency in bookkeeping and handling financial transactions.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing records and reports.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team and interact with customers.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required in retail settings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Person In Charge or Assistant Manager in retail trade.
• Familiarity with retail management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Certification or training in retail management or customer service.
• Knowledge of inventory control and loss prevention strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze sales data and contribute to business improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of retail staff to ensure smooth store operations.
• Manage cashiering processes, including handling cash, credit transactions, and balancing registers at the end of shifts.
• Maintain accurate and organized books and papers related to sales, inventory, and daily financial reports.
• Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and improve overall store performance.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and retail industry standards.
• Assist in inventory management, including stock replenishment and loss prevention measures.
