About the Role:

The Checker/Clerk - 1st Stage plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory and documentation within the organization. This position is responsible for the initial verification and inspection of incoming goods, ensuring that all items meet quality standards and match purchase orders. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to identify discrepancies and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues promptly. By maintaining accurate records and supporting inventory management processes, the Checker/Clerk helps facilitate smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic proficiency with computers and inventory management software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to handle and inspect shipments, including lifting items up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory control, or clerical role.
• Familiarity with supply chain and logistics processes.
• Experience using barcode scanners and related technology.
• Basic knowledge of quality control standards.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Record and document any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues found during the inspection process.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff and suppliers to resolve any issues related to shipments or inventory.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all checked items using inventory management systems or manual logs.
• Assist in organizing and labeling inventory to support efficient storage and retrieval.
