Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Perform process adjustments to optimize cycle time and reduce scrap
• Perform daily maintenance of process secondary equipment (Jetwheels, Insert loaders, automation etc.)
• Document process changes during shift and maintain daily process history logs.
• Collects and reports purge and belly waste each shift
• Communicates process changes to the next shifts process techs
• Start-up/Shutdown of presses and hand-off to shift supervisor for an operator to be assigned/moved
• Serve as a backup shift supervisor as required and perform the same IQMS tasks as the supervisor.
• Perform daily maintenance of molds including cleaning, ice blasting, etc.
• Able to program, maneuver and restore functionality to end of arm tools and robots
• Submit recommendations for process improvements for all production support departments to supervisor
• Informs supervisor to order process   i.e.: wax, vacuum seals and hoses, lubricants, fittings, etc.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Maintains a safe environment in the plant supporting the company safety
• Can perform plant and mechanical room start up/shut down
•  Knowledgeable in a wide variety of hand and power tools such as wrenches, hammers, drills, pyrometers, torque wrenches, etc.
• Maintains forklift certification
• LOTO certification
• Basic computer skills
• Understanding of all areas outlined on the Skills Checklist
