What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician - OH position at Mar-Bal, Inc?
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Maintain the plastic injection and compression maintenance area, put away incoming items, and keep the general area clean.
- Hands-on job requirements for daily troubleshooting and repairs on all Mar-Bal Inc. equipment
- Maintain plastic injection and compression machines and adhere to secondary preventive maintenance schedules.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Maintain proper housekeeping utilizing 5S principles.
- Fills out all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
- Ability to utilize machine print for troubleshooting.
- Make safety a top priority while working in a safety-conscious manner.
- Report and correct safety issues as directed.
- Training will focus on working safely with electricity, hydraulics and pneumatics using troubleshooting techniques, understanding energy control procedures.
- Utilize a wide variety of hand and power tools such as wrenches, hammers, drills, welders, saws, electrical diagnostic instruments, etc. Steel, brass, aluminum, oils, grease, electrical components, hydraulic components, etc.
- Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably with injection or compression molding machines.
- Ability to read and interpret machine and facility blueprints.
- Develop skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with PLC’s.
- Develop background in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to assist production in the programming of Pick and place robots for part removal.
- Must be able to maintain acceptable attendance based on the 10-point attendance policy.
Level III Maintenance Technician needed for third shift (10:30 PM–7:00 AM) to maintain injection molding equipment and support facility upkeep. Pay is based on experience, with opportunities for growth.
