What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician position at MAPS, Inc.?
Overview
Join a company where service means more than fixing equipment. MAPS is growing our service team and looking for a dependable, technically minded Field Service Technician who enjoys solving problems, working with technology, helping customers, and taking pride in doing things the right way.
If you have previous experience servicing copiers, multifunction devices, printers, or related technology, we'd like to talk with you.
Don't have copier experience? We'd still like to hear from you. If you have strong mechanical or electrical aptitude, enjoy troubleshooting equipment, and have experience in electronics, HVAC, automotive, industrial maintenance, appliance repair, IT, or another technical field-service environment, MAPS can provide the industry-specific training needed to develop your career.
Our Field Service Technicians provide onsite and remote service and technical support for multifunction copiers, printers, scanners, and related imaging and print technology from manufacturers including Kyocera, HP, Brother, and others.
Just as importantly, our technicians represent MAPS every day in front of our customers. We believe exceptional service means taking care of both the technology and the relationship.

- Clearly communicate service issues, findings, and resolutions to customers.
- Look beyond the immediate problem to identify recurring issues and potential long-term solutions.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and records.
- Manage and reconcile parts and supplies maintained in your company vehicle.
- Complete manufacturer training and technical certifications.
- Work collaboratively with our service, sales, and administrative teams to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
