Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the proper washing of tableware, flatware, glassware and other kitchen equipment, including monitoring machine rinse pressure and water temperature to meet sanitation guidelines.
- Responsible for maintaining the kitchen and other assigned areas in a sanitary manner
- Establish and maintain courteous and professional working relationships with coworkers, residents and guests
- Must be familiar with food handling procedures and state and local regulations
- Must know how to operate kitchen appliances such as the dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker and ice machine
- Retrieve garbage and recyclables from residence floors as needed
- Maintain the compactor room and place garbage curbside for pick up daily as required
- May be required to help with inventory, maintenance, food deliveries, and shelving stock
- Participate in on-going in-service and training requirements
- Follow emergency procedures
- Understand and comply with all Inspīr safety practices and procedures
Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience with and passion for working with seniors
