Maplewood Counseling is a private practice located in Essex County, NJ, specializing in providing compassionate support to individuals, couples, and families. Our practice is about helping our community with various relationship and family dynamics,as well as individual challenges with anxiety, depression and much more. We are experienced with multicultural and LGBTQ issues and are committed to providing inclusive therapy for our community. Clients have the flexibility to choose between Telehealth video sessions or in-person appointments at our office. Our aim is to help clients address their relational and emotional challenges with care and sensitivity.
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role based in Maplewood, NJ, for a licensed Private Practice Therapist (LSW, LCSW, LMFT, LAMFT, LPC, or LAC). The therapist will provide individual, couples, and family counseling services, conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and collaborate with other team members when needed. They will be responsible for fostering a safe, supportive environment for clients while addressing their mental health and relational concerns with professionalism and empathy. Administrative support is provided to allow therapists to focus on client care.
Position Details:
- Schedule for new clincian - 12-15 hours PT ( more hours available eventually)
- Mon and Wednesday virtual availability 5-9 or 5-9, Fridays 9-4 virtual options
- Sunday in office and virtual options from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Location:
- In-person sessions at our Maplewood, NJ office.
- Virtual sessions also offered to clients.
- Client Base:
- Please note that it typically takes 3 months to build a steady client base of 10-12 ( or more).
Qualifications
- Experienced in working for private practice a plus.
- Active LSW, LCSW, LMFT, LAMFT, LPC, or LAC license in the state of New Jersey
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and empathetic listening skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency in conducting telehealth sessions and in-person therapy
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- Experience in relationship and marriage counseling, including work with diverse groups, is a plus
Salary : $45 - $60
