Experienced Veterinary Receptionist (New Orleans)

Maple Small Animal Clinic located uptown in New Orleans is looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and experienced veterinary receptionist to join our team. Position is full time. Hours are 7:45a-5:00p four days a week with a one-hour lunch break and 7:45 to 12:15p Saturday. High School diploma and minimum of one-year verifiable experience in a veterinary clinic as a receptionist required to apply for this position. A plus if you also have team leadership experience. Applicant must be reliable, work well as part of a team, be capable of lifting up to 20 lbs, and be proactive in providing the best customer service experience to our beloved clients.

Job Duties:

• Greeting visitors
• Invoicing
• Scheduling appointments
• Correspondence
• Stocking supplies
• Sorting and sending text messages
• Answering and routing phone calls
• Sending and receiving email
• Managing Social Media
• Housekeeping of Reception Area and Front Rest Room
• Reviewing and sending reminders

Financial Duties:

• Submitting insurance claims
• Processing payments
• End of Day Reporting
• Billing

Schedule:

• Four days a week 7:45a - 5:00p and
• Saturday 7:45a - 12:15 required

Typical end time:

• 5PM three days a week and one day a week until last client leaves and end of day reporting is complete - typically 5:20p, and one saturday a month until last client leaves and end of day reporting is complete - typically 12:20-12:40p.
