Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator.
Duties
- Safely operate forklift trucks, in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Load and unload shipments, kilns and load and unload packs from, stacker, planer etc..
- Pick and prepare orders efficiently for shipping or storage, ensuring accuracy through manual handling and basic math skills.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform and report maintenance needs to ensure optimal operation of heavy equipment.
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing goods against documentation.
- Follow warehouse safety protocols during all materials handling activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Proven experience operating forklift trucks (lift truck).
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and manual handling procedures.
- Previous experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, load & unload activities within a distribution or warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing.
- Strong understanding of heavy lifting techniques, materials handling best practices, and safety standards in production environments.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
